Let me assure the reader this account is absolutely true.

 

Four of us were eating in a restaurant.  Each of us had  25-percent-off coupons.  When we finished the meal, our waiter told us that he had all of the coupons, so our bill was taken care of.

 

“What do you mean our bill is taken care of?” I asked.  He explained that since we had 25% coupons and we gave him all four coupons, that covered 100% of the bill.

 

No matter how we explain it differently, he was insistent.  He got his manager, and the manager agreed with the waiter.
